Song of Miriam Awards Brunch
This event has been held in early June since 1993. (Because of the Covid epidemic, the brunch was not held between 2020 and 2022, however honorees were recognized in the Jewish Review during those years.)
Honorees are nominated by Jewish organizations and congregations in Oregon and southwest Washington. The women are recognized for their individual efforts and achievements in their volunteer activities, and their dedication to Jewish life and values.
The kosher brunch is attended by approximately 300 people. During the awards ceremony, each honoree is presented to the group and a short description of their accomplishments is read.
Since it began, more than 540 women have been honored.
